"Back to Paradise"

The beach is quiet
lonely wind.
It's good now
that I'm back again.

Blue sky
warm day
no one here
near this place.

Just you and me,
driftwood house.
From your porch,
I see so far out.

Your weathered boards
softwood floors
sunbeams shooting
through the doors.

High green cliffs
the edge of land
I sit on the beach
palms in the sand

Looking out to sea
stretching far beyond
It's all right now
my worries have gone.

Back to Paradise
It's so good
You know I'd stay
if I could.

I brought a friend
to this place.
We came to stay
for a couple days.

The solitude
soft white sand
brought us in
to a magic land.

By the firelight,
the driftwood house
seemed to glow
with a life its own.

And crashing waves
up the beach
echoed down the cliffs
to our feet.

We didn't talk
just listened
Just the sea, the fire,
the cool wind.

I left these words
on the wall.
And soon after sunrise
we were gone.

Come Back to Paradise
It's so good
We would stay
if only we could.
